Scam "Three Promotions Team"

I keep receiving a number from a person pertaining to be from "Three Promotions Team" 

01*********. They tried to convince me they were from three by sending me a code that i will need to put into my new phone when it gets delivered. I did receive a test from an automated text messaging service called 'From Three'. This confused me as this is the same number that i use to receive a one time code to get into the app sometimes too so i am unsure how they have hacked this to make it look legitimate?

The normal automated text messaging service  when on a phone call from three is called "Three UK". 

 I rang three to check if anyone from Three had called me they said no so i have blocked it but i receive multiple calls a day now and Three said they cannot block it their end which is ridiculous so i keep receiving a blocked message.

Just so people are aware. They will ask you all about your card details where you live etc. This is a scam.

It's really great knowing you were able to check with us and make sure this was indeed fraud. Totally understandable how alarming this can be, we do have a dedicated page on this kind of Fraud which you can check out. This'll give you information on how to report it etc.
