I limit my travel to short haul because I find air travel boring. I ask "are we there yet" as soon as I sit down. I have always felt comfortable travelling and it got easier when I realised that, when trying to speak a few words of Italian, I was not the first tourist to amuse the ticket seller and would not be the last.
