Wife’s direct debit

Any idea why 3 has rejected my wife’s dd  same address but different bank

Hi @AJ3,

Sorry to hear there's been an issue with your wife's Direct Debit. We can only speculate here, but customer services will be able to check this out for the account holder. Assuming there's sufficient funds, and the Direct Debit agreement was set up enough time in advance of the bill being due, then you may also need to check if the bank can explain this.

If you set the Direct Debit up close to or just after the bill was created, you may need to make a manual payment by card, or if the transaction was declined but the Direct Debit instruction is still in place then we should make one further attempt to request the payment a week later.

All this is general information, I can't look at what specifically happened on the account from here, so it's probably best to clarify this with the team by calling or chatting with them.
