4g hub has red light

Chazbert
Fledgling

Have purchased a 4g hub, but the 3g/4g light is red indicating there is an issue with the sim. I have removed it, restarted numerous times to no avail. Other post have suggested trying the sim in another device, but I don't have any devices that use a full size sim. I can't contact anyone one from 3, nor find any options on there numbers for dealing with this. Please help

If this is a new product then the sim is clearly not active. It’s USUALLY active within 24 hours so keep it in your router and keep the router turned on. When you say you can’t contact anyone from Three I’m unsure of your meaning. Call them on 333 or 03333381001

HI @Chazbert,

As @Paddiewack says most likely the SIM isn't active yet, it may also be worth an occasional reboot of the router every hour or two. You can find all the ways to get in touch including chat, and long dial numbers you can use from other providers on our contact us page. Failing this, if you pop into a Three store with your photo ID, assuming you're the account holder, the team can check if the SIM is faulty and replace it too.

Thanks,
Jonathan
