I have the "some websites do not load" broadband issue. How do I get someone competent in live chat?

I have the issue as documented here, here and here.

A fix seems to exist to be applied on Three's end by whoever picks up the support chat. Unfortunately all my attempts so far have been entirely fruitless in finding someone competent. All I could find out is that, I quote, "The call call center is is base in India and there is no one from UK that we can connect to", and they asked me if Dropbox is an adult website.

To those of you that were successful, can you share the magic words that got you someone competent on the other end?

Three support is honestly a joke, they'd be better off putting a GPT on it.

The Three support guy called me to tell me that there are no updates whatsoever, and denied that this forum existed, amazing. He said "we don't have such a forum on Three's official website".

I asked for it in writing and he said I should do a subject access request! Oh, I am going to have a lot of fun with this guy.

That was one of the symptoms I had on friday, along with my Wife not being able to connect to her work VPN, and my Son not being able to connect to Roblox or Fortnite servers

I managed to fix it by doing the following:

- Navigating to 192.168.0.1 in a browser and logging in
- Clicking on Mobile Network > Internet Connection > Modify the APN with the name 3internet
- Change IP Type from IPv4v6 to IP

This resolved all the above issues.

Changing the APN to three.co.uk , which is what I believe you meant to type, is a workaround, but it does not fix the issue. It puts you on a CGNAT, which stops certain protocols from working.

No, I've left the APN name as 3internet, but changed the IP type which I believes makes it so it only uses IPv4 rather than potentially allowing IPv6. That resolved my access issues.

This explicitly does not work for me or anyone else in the forum, so that's quite odd. Probably a coincidence!

Been trying for weeks to try and speak to someone that doesn't talk complete and utter non-sense.  There "used" to be a 2nd line support that knew a little more than the first line "try turning it off and on again" "try the SIM in another phone" "move the wifi box/phone to a window".  However recently every-time I've asked to "escalate" the call, they transfer me to the Complaints Department!  I had a call back today but didn't see the call and it went to answerphone.  The person was talking so fast and with such an accent, I can't understand a word he said!

The problems are still ongoing

1) Not getting a public routable IP from 3internet APN, I'm being assigned a private IP and connection is being CGNAT'ed.  But the external IP is changing so fast (at least 2 times a minute) that it is causing problems logging into sites.  Santander informed me that this was the problem that I had connected to their site from 10 different IP's in the short time I was trying to log in!

2) Three are intermittently breaking SSL connections.  So far these are DNS over HTTPS (because 3's DNS is rubbish). breaking SSL connections to update servers (Linux distros), breaking SSH connections to my web servers, breaking secure IMAP connections to email server.

3) As of a week or so ago, Three are now breaking WireGuard connections to VPN's including ProtonVPN and to VPS I have been using to test.
