I keep getting chased for not returning mu hub

Few weeks ago I canceled my three contact, I paid my early exit fee and I asked to a store near me if I can leave my hub to them. They told me yes and that they can send it back for me. I even got a receipt for that.

And now I got an email from three claiming that they have not received my hub and that I need to pay another 83 pounds.

Is this a scam or what?
