New V2 router, use old SIM?

Fledgling

Hi, I am an existing customer using NR5103E router, after calling 3 on Friday I today received the new V2 version but there was no SIM included so I took the sim out of the old router and placed in the new one hours ago but internet light is still red

Was I supposed to receive a new sim also and my old SIM won't work in this new router?,

Hey @monkeyboy72,

Glad to hear you figured this out! Thanks for taking the time to update the community, hopefully that helps other users in the future.

I can confirm that we don't generally replace SIM cards when upgrading or replacing devices. It's only necessary if there's a different size of SIM required.

Thanks,
Jonathan
