I was out of contract for our 3 broadband and I took out a new contract when I received an email stating broadband half price for 6 months.. I called into my local 3 shop told them I’m interested in taking out a new contract and showed them the code on my phone one of the 2 females started to complete the contract I think the other female was a trainee. The one that was filling in my detail took hold of my phone , she then asked about my mobile phone told her I have a sim only she asked how much do I pay and it was then I decided to get 2 mobile sim deals. I explained that I was going into hospital in a few days to have my kidney removed because of cancer and I wanted to set up the Wi-Fi before I went into hospital. I was asked to check through the contract I couldn’t read it all because I didn’t have my reading glasses and I signed the contract. It wasn’t till I was discharged from hospital and recovering at home that I logged into my 3 account and realised she hadn’t applied the discount. I rang customer service and spoke to a lady in India but she couldn’t help and put me through to a male went through it all again but unfortunately he couldn’t help and was transferred to a supervisor, after explaining yet again was I need to go back into my 3 shop and they could do this. On Monday I had a fried take me into town and we went to 3 shop, I asked to speak to the manager was told he was the manager, I explained all that had happened and told him I’m contacting the ombudsman as I’ve had enough.

Hi @Granma,
Sorry to hear that you're in a dispute with our store staff. If there's a dispute regarding a plan signed in store, we do have to refer you back to the store in question. You mentioned speaking to the manager, but I'm not clear from your post what they told you? We can't directly take action on your account from here, but if you can describe the situation in more detail we'll do our best to give advice.
Thanks,
Jonathan
