Been using three 5g home broadband for a few years now, had no problems whatsoever until this week.
My download speeds are as fast as ever. Over 600mbps, but when my son is gaming on his Xbox playing call of duty, there's constant lag which has never happened before.
I've tried connecting directly through the router using an ethernet, and the issue is still there.
However, if I tether from my mobile phone (also three 5g) the issue disappears.
What's causing this, has three changed anything their end?
Anything I can do my end?

Well I managed to fix it myself.
Changed the APN from 3intenet to three.co.uk
Hope it lasts

Unfortunately moving the hub around doesn't help the issue thats occuring this all started on the 24th April and still hasn't been resolved

It sounds like it might be best to contact the Home Broadband Support Team and let them know you're still having the issue so that they can log it. They may also be able to explore additional options that haven't been considered already.
Pete.

I have previously already gone though the support team before looking at the community section to see if there was a known issue

Hi @theabstar,
Did the team log the fault and arrange any follow up, or what was the result?
Thanks,
Jonathan

They just said it would be raised higher up and hopefully here back within a week with an update but unfortunately this issue is still occurring with latency and high ping both with gaming and trying to have online work meetings

Hi @Jwilliamsm3,
Sorry to hear about this, and thanks for sharing your solution. That's quite odd as 3internet is usually the better suited APN for Broadband and gaming purposes. The three.co.uk APN is usually used for mobile devices. Is everything else on your home network working okay now that you've changed the APN?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Have you do router reset?
on 27-04-2025 09:36 PM
Yep, I've reset it, I've even tried my parents router who live opposite and have the same three 5g broadband (but uses a different brand router), issue still persists. I think three have changed a setting somewhere
