Configuring nr5103e to replicate my old zte router

HowieB
Regular

To save a lot of work,

I want to set my SSID to be the same as before - done

I want to set my wifi password to be the same as before - can't do this because old password did not have any special characters and the nr5103e insists on a least 1.

There was a post describing how to do this but it lacked the precise detail of how.

I'm currently sticking with my zte but would like to use the upgraded router.

Thanks

Hello.

I'm not sure of the work around you're referring to. If the device requires specific characters in the Wi-Fi password, that is likely what you will need to do if you want to use it.

I'd recommend taking the plunge and setting up a new password for your new Hub and setting up all the other devices again. It should hopefully be the last time you ever need to do that, and you'll have the latest Hub up and running too.

Pete.
