On my iPhone in mobile service there is a current period roaming data counter which shows 7.04GB when I haven't been abroad since having this handset ? Anyone else had this ?

Hello there.
Oh, that's quite strange. Have you checked your most recent bill to see if any roaming usage is recorded in there? Depending on when your bill generates, you might need to wait a while before that becomes available, but it could provide some answers.

Hi @MH2,
Yeah that is really odd. If I recall correctly iOS actually counts the "current period" as all time till you reset this. Have you been moving from one iPhone to another. I'm wondering if this info has been transferred when you've synced up from an old device's back up?
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi,
Thanks for the reply
I haven’t been abroad in 6 years and the 3 sim I have and that was showing the roaming data I’ve only had for 13 months , I have reset the counter to see if it appears again ?

If Jonathan is correct about the "current period" being the period since last reset, it might be worth checking all of the bills in the last 13 months to see if there's any roaming usage logged in those bills during that time.
If there isn't anything showing on the account side, the iPhone must be mistaken, and must have counted normal network traffic as roaming traffic for some reason.
Pete.
