I see much chatter here about using an cellular enabled Apple Watch on Three with varying degrees of success, but no mention of any others... According to the "Smartwatch Pairing Plan on Three" page on the website, "We'll be introducing other manufacturers and devices [...] soon." Does anyone have a guess on how long "soon" will be?
I've got a swanky new Galaxy Watch 5 Pro on the way. Am I going to need to switch networks to be able to use it to it's full potential before it goes out of date? 😬

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry we missed the recent replies on this thread at the time. Happy to help clear this up.
Samsung smartwatch pairing is currently only available on our Three Your Way plans, whether you take a handset, or a SIM Only plan. Existing customers will have the opportunity to pair their Samsung smartwatch when we roll this out across our other plans, later this year.
Here's a link to the Smartwatch pairing support page on three.co.uk with more info.
Just to clarify, whether you have purchased the watch from Three directly or elsewhere, this shouldn't affect whether you can pair. The availability of the service is purely down to the difference in the plans, and we're working on a solution to make this service available for every customer soon.
Thanks,
JonathanB

I am so confused about this. 2nd line network support just told me no Samsung smartwatches are supported. Just had to go through the complaints team to get my new 'Three Your Way' contract cancelled. I'm not sure anyone really knows anymore!

Hi @Jon_Akzar,
I'm sorry if you've been running into conflicting info about pairing smartwatches.
Here's our page on smartwatch pairing. Which model of watch do you have? Have you went ahead with this cancellation? I'd like to get this looked into this further if possible. If you haven't completed the cancellation yet, please let me know and I'll be happy to help get this investigated in more detail.

I've had all sorts of arguments with multiple advisers today about this. Most of them have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, they're completely ignoring what it says on Three's own website and have simply said I'm wrong. One advisor did accept what I was saying and found the webpage himself, after going off and speaking to more senior staff though, he said the system for Samsung watches is totally different to Apple, none of them have any idea what this system is or how it works, they basically couldn't do anything.
What the last adviser did say was that from the information he had just been given, it's not simply an add on to any existing plan, it must be a "Three your way" plan. I asked about how I'd get on to one of these plans and it sounds like I'd have to cancel, pay the early termination (it's only 3 months in) and then start a new plan, absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. Unfortunately, I do believe the part about the new plan because that's also what it says on the website
Most Samsung devices will be compatible, but you’ll need a Three Your Way plan and the Galaxy Wearable app.

Sounds like we ended up having similar conversations with advisors today.
I still have 18 months in my contact. If there is no way to upgrade to a 'Three your way' plan or add a watch to existing customers, that would be beyond ridiculous. It wouldn't be a surprise but it would be ridiculous.

I've been on the phone to the executive office this morning and apparently it is possible as long as you don't buy the watch direct from three and try and pair it with a phone that's on an older plan. Luckily I purchased my watch elsewhere so I'm good to go once they set the pairing up.

So you won't have to be on a new plan?

Is Samsung pairing live now? On this page https://www.three.co.uk/support/sim-support/smartwatch-pairing-support it mentions Samsung but when I try to add a mobile plan it says 'Smartwatch pairing isnt available on your plan'

I was wondering if there was any updates on this?
I was massively misguided by the sales team when I bought my latest contract saying that galaxy watches esims are already available (Oct 2022) only to find out that it really doesn't after purchasing. and then they were like, no no, sorry mistake, but it'll be rolled out in December 2022. Which obviously didn't happen.
Had the sales team been honest, I'd either wouldn't have bought the watch or switched networks. Now I'm just stuck with a watch and a plan I cannot use.
