Did you mean:

new broadband customer received my router, but no service / red network connection led

M1kes
Fledgling

i received my new Three broadband hub today, read through all the instructions, (that aren't correct - it doesnt mention logging on to the device after connection to wifi, but it logged on)

on the box it says no waiting, 1 find a spot, 3 plug in, 4 you're ready to go.

except its not. after calling three (ignoring the prompts for my phone # as I dont have one, then ignoring entering the pin they've just sent me, (errm how where?)...

I eventually talk to someone in support asking for my imei number , no its not the one printed on my delivery note,  its the the one on the bottom of the router, and my order number, again that's not the one on my delivery note its the one on my original order email)

only to be told my sim/device hasnt been activated and i need to wait 24 or 48 or some random time for it to start working?

safe to say i am NOT IMPRESSED.

Hello there.

Gosh, it sounds like something went wrong during process of configuring the account, something that caused the SIM not to be activated as normally would be expected.

The instructions provided would be printed with details that describe the process as it should be experienced, and would be experienced by the vast majority of users. Sadly, it doesn't look like these circumstances were taken into account.

I'm glad to hear that the team were able to identify the issue and work towards getting it fixed. Hopefully you'll be up and running soon.

Pete.
