Hello,
i purchased a 3 day ATW roaming pass for my trip to the USA. When I land I could see bars but no data symbol (4G/5G) next to it. I didn’t get an activation message and it wouldn’t activate for 20 mins. It took making a call to the UK to activate it.
however I still do not have any data and no symbol next to the bars. Does anyone know what is happening or what I could do?

Make sure your spend cap isn't set to £0, and that your credit limit isn't set to £1

Is mobile data or data services when roaming enabled from your phone settings?

Did you get a chance to check the suggestions here, or find any other solution in the meantime? Roaming services must be active at the account level if you could call back to the UK, so I think we're looking at a phone settings, or network issue.
As @jr0 suggests, check if mobile data and data roaming are active in your settings. It may also be worth checking your network/carrier selection settings and popping this on manual, this will allow you to test connecting to any other networks which you're inside coverage for. If you try each available network hopefully you'll get data services on an alternative one. If you do this, make sure to put network/carrier selection back to Automatic if you go to another country or back to the UK.
