Am I the only one having network problems since the merger?

I've had nothing but problems since 3 announced they've completed the merger. Always had the best network coverage of all the family mobiles. But not anymore.  Problems making and receiving calls. Online apps not launching straight away or working at all. Restarting phone multiple times to get things to work? I've an S24 ultra.  Can't be too old a phone and automatic software updates. I know what the answer will be if I approach 3... nothing wrong.  Anyone else?

A repeat of the same problem when Orange merged with EE ..no end of network issues. Having now worked for a mobile company I would advise switching networks. It took EE almost 3 years after merging to get cell sites working in sync with Orange cell towers. A heck of a lot of work goes into merging cell towers as all networks use different frequencies. I have had no real issues in almost 20 years of use but since the merger service has declined drastically. Switched the wife's sim to another network now about to do the same and make the move to EE!  To add to this Retentions team made no attempt to keep wife as a customer despite 15 years loyalty.

We installed a ZTE router as a backup business broadband connection and we use to get over 150Mbps, but lately since merger with Vodafone we are lucky to get 50Mbps and a poultry 2 Mbps upload, whatever the weather. Unfortunately we may need to cancel the contract unless it improves as its no longer fit for purpose.

same here, my 5g has been horrifically laggy ever since around the merger was announced. Absolute joke, i don't have time for this. Switching to EE.

Where you’ll pay a lot more with similar coverage! I would check the network status page if I were you.

I've been with three since I first got a phone (I'm now 29) and always had amazing service with data. That was up until a few months ago when the merge with Vodafone came in. Now every time I am using data (no matter if its just down the road or on a car trip) loading websites takes so long, and that is if it actually loads! I'm looking at moving as soon as I can with my contract, very sad to do that though as I have been very loyal...

Just to let you know, my 4G/5G data has been extremely slow, and I'm raising an official complaint tomorrow. I agree it's to do with the merger of the networks. It cannot be anything else as i've been with Three for 12 years and never had an issue. I tried a fmaily member's SIM and immediately got 100mbps on my phone. When I run Google Speed Test it drops to under 1mbps. Anyone telling you it's your phone settings is gas lighting you.

I new to three, pay SIM card. No calls or texts. No data. Infuriating!

Hi @Oscarish75,

Sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with your connection recently, I don't think this will be related to the merger though. There will certainly be big changes as there's billions being invested in network improvements and this will be an ongoing process.

The first thing I'd recommend to check is if we're aware of any local issues using our Network Status Checker. As @Paddiewack suggests a cache clear can help with browser and app issues, or resetting your network settings can also help with a variety of calling/data related issues. Please be aware that resetting your network settings does forget your saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections.

Thanks,
Jonathan
