Can I upgrade my phone with a SIM only plan?

I’m looking at getting a new phone, will I be able to get the new phone and just put the SIM out of my current phone into the new one without a charge as i’m only a SIM only plan?

Hello. 

If you're planning to stay on SIM only, you would need to buy the phone outright, there's no way to take it on a monthly payment plan and stay on a SIM only as well. 

I just wanted to clarify that as you said without a charge, and I'm not entirely sure if you mean a monthly charge, or a one off up front charge. If I've misunderstood, please clarify so I can provide a better answer for you.
