Cancel my contact but no access to phone

Hi

In June 2022 I took out a contract in my name for my friend's use , after 4 months I found out he had changed the name on the account and had not made any payments. I have since paid all monthly charges . I would like to cancel the contract as the contract term has expired, I called up 3 and asked about this , I was told I need the validation text that is sent to the phone number.

My friend will not respond to my calls or text to give me the code . 

I stuck with what I can do ? 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Alistair,

I'm sorry to hear about this situation. If your friend absolutely isn't working with you on this, pop into a Three store with photo ID. They'll be able to issue you a new SIM for the number. Then you can pass security by receiving the code to the replacement SIM and put in your cancellation request.
