Hi, I have the 56 day go roam pass built into my plan (as I upgraded during a certain time), but I still see the fair usage of 12GB. I am worried that I will run out after my 12GB and do not want to use up my data, but then my question is what am I actually paying for? I am away in France and have other Three customers with me, but they do not pay for the passes (like myself) and still get the 12GB of Fair usage. Can someone help confirm this for me as I am worried of using any of my data for maps! Thank you

Hi @emi2001,
Happy to clear this up, from our Price Guide:
"You can use your UK allowance in any of our Go Roam destinations subject to a daily roaming charge. Your usage comes from your UK allowance. If you have a data allowance greater than 12GB, you can use up to 12GB of data each month. If you use 12GB and still have remaining data allowance available, you can continue to use your data, but this is subject to a surcharge - currently 0.3p/MB. When roaming in the Republic of Ireland, fair usage limits do not apply."
So your passes cover the daily charge, so you won't need to pay per day to unlock your allowances, but if you do exceed 12GB during your billing month, you'll pay a small surcharge of 0.3p per MB. That's roughly equivalent to £3 per GB. Navigation apps are generally not too data intensive, but you may be able to save by downloading the map files in advance over Wi-Fi, and using simple maps rather than satellite image maps where these features are available.
Thanks,
Jonathan
