3 tell me they will be closing my account tonight because I haven’t used my phone for three months and haven’t used any credit. I have a monthly account with 4GB available, not a pay as you go account and I use some data every month. The on line chat is as much use a banging my head against a brick wall, customer services don’t understand my problem and the 3 shop can’t help. What do I do?

Hello, Howard.

Welcome to the Three Community.

I'm a bit confused about the issue you are having, as the network don't terminate contract accounts for inactivity. Contracts can remain inactive indefinitely without being cut off. You said Three told you the account was being closed, where did this communication come from, and when?

Pete.

The message came from 3. Your confusion is shared by me and the agent at the 3 shop. I had a message a month ago and was told not to worry about it by a 3 agent then another message came this morning.

Don't start preaching about your issues on other people's posts :(

Becoming tedious.

I’ve no idea what you are on about.

I feel your pain. I’ve had a problem that should have been easy to sort, but they couldn’t or wouldn’t sort it and they asked all sorts of questions that weren’t even relevant. The only person I got any sense out of was Maxine from customer support in the UK but now she’s gone quiet. I ended up sorting the problem myself - problem that was caused by an error by Three. I’m waiting for an apology and details of how they’re going to make up for the hours of time I’ve wasted on this since last Saturday, not to mention the harassment I experienced from a firm acting on Three’s behalf. The phone service isn’t great, although it’s cheap, and the customer service is laughable and a really pathetic advert for a multi-million-pound company.
