I have had 5 phone calls saying they are from three and I need to upgrade my SIM card as they are go

I have had 5 phone calls from  someone saying they are from three saying I need to upgrade my SIM card but I was only in the shop last month and no- one said anything about an upgraded sim card.

Got a call from 01*********, about needing new sim. At the end started swearing at me when they had enough. SCAM

I also had a call from 020 8178 3358 saying the same thing. I tried to not say the word yes but they seemed to be prompting me to by repeating what I was saying and asking “is this correct”. I didn’t share any info with them and hung up. Then received a weird voicemail from them after

Just had a call saying the same this morning.  They asked for my email address then asked me confirm my security info. I claimed I couldn't remember security info. Then they proceeded to try get me to change my password on the 3 app. Told them no way and hung up

Report the number that called you to 7726 and for good measure block it.

Three wouldn't contact you so often in relation to your account. If you'd like to get the plan checked, I'd recommend reaching out to the team directly. This will confirm if the calls were genuine or not. If they were not, you can report the number that called you by sending it in a text to 7726.

Hi @Caro2,

It's very, very, rare for us to have to replace SIM cards like this, and as @Paddiewack says, this sounds very suspicious. If you get in touch, the team should be able to confirm if this is a genuine request from Three. 

If the number calling you begins 01, 02, or 07 then this will definitely be a scammer. More info on how to report them here.

Sounds fishier than a trawler captains glove. Call customer service and ask. All numbers from Three start with 03.
