Sorry to hear this, it's difficult for us to determine what may have happened from the Community as we can't access customer accounts to answer here, but Data Packs (with calls, texts, and data) should last one month, whereas Data Add ons, require you to have an active Data Pack too, so if your Pack expires whilst an Add on is in progress this could stop you accessing the data add on early.
We can only speculate here though, so it's best to get in touch, and the team can give a more definitive answer.
