My partner has a Doro 8100 that simply wouldn’t roam in Oz. The same model worked fine last year but apparently they stopped doing software updates so it would not work. Was told to purchase a new phone. So, new Mororola Moto G05 purchased. Text and data work fine but no voice calls either making or receiving. The SIM works fine in my iPhone. Speaking to Motorola, they are suggesting it is a 3UK issue because I cannot see “Volte” option in my Network settings and this needs to be “turned on” at 3 UK’s end. As a minimum, I need to speak to 3 UK and ask them if their SIM cards are compatible with the device. Extraordinary that Motorola don’t seem to be able to tell me….it’s their phone!!!

Hi again @Derko,
I was hoping to check back in with you on this. Did you get a chance to try the steps in my previous reply?
Thanks,
Michael

Hi @Derko,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Regarding calls not working, was calling successful via the same SIM card when used in your iPhone device instead?
Also, were the calling issues specifically taking place when roaming, or also when in the UK?
The Moto G05 is voLTE compatible when both home and when roaming, as confirmed on the Device Support page, but my understanding is that you aren't able to manually select a specific 4G LTE band.
Are you not seeing a voLTE option in the phone's settings, or is it greyed out?
You can check this by the following steps:
Swipe down from the top right of the home screen and press the settings icon at the bottom of the screen.
Press 'Network and Internet' > Mobile Network > Tap the SIM in question (this may appear as 'SIM 1) > Toggle on the '4G calling' option at the bottom of the list.
As the Moto G05 is a dual-sim device, please also place the SIM into the other slot to the one that is currently being used, and try the above steps again if the 4G calling option isn't there.
I'd also recommend resetting the network settings on the device. You can do this via the following steps:
Settings > System > Reset options. From there, you can choose to Reset Mobile Network Settings. Please note that this may erase all saved Wi-Fi passwords and paired Bluetooth devices.
Thanks,
Michael
