I've received an email "confirming my order" but I haven't ordered anything. The address it was sent from is "noreply@mails.three.co.uk"
Can anyone confirm this is a genuine three email?
Thanks in advance.

Three Chat and phone contact were both pretty useless but both said they couldn't see anything on order. DPD said they couldn't see any scheduled deliveries either. However my account does show a payg sim has been ordered and I'll see if anything arrives. I'm going to call into the local Three shop on Saturday as they said they could only help in store (It's a 52 mile round trip!). I've done a couple of thorough scans on my laptop and phnoe with nothing showing. Other than the postcode I never entered any other personal details so hopefully all will be ok.
Thanks again for your help.

I received this email two days ago.
"Hi there,
We’ve noticed some suspicious activity on your account, so we’ve temporarily suspended your services.
Until we’ve looked into things, you won’t be able to use the SIM or your device – and we won’t bill you until things are up and running again.
To help get things sorted, please get in touch as soon as possible.
Thanks,
The Three Team"
Is this a scam or an email from Three?

Hello there.
It's difficult to determine from here for sure if that's genuine or not. The content doesn't seem to be asking you for any information or trying to lead you somewhere to reveal details about yourself or your account.
If you want to be sure, I'd recommend reaching out to the Support Team to query the status of the account.
Pete.

Thank you PeteG for your reply.
I spoke to the Support Team and they are asking me to send via email my full name and address as well as a PDF with a scan of my passport to unsuspend my SIM card.
Is that a normal procedure?
I prefer not to send any personal information via email.

I can't completely understand your concern @ThreeUsername27 but yes this is standard procedure.
Can you confirm the email address they have asked you to send the relevant ID to?

Hi Jade,
I have been asked to send my full name and home address as well as a PDF with a scan of my passport to the following email address: CustomerProtectionProofs@three.co.uk
Please let me know if this is an email address from Three and if this is the normal procedure to unsuspend a SIM Card.
Thanks.

That email address is used by the team to receive information or evidence for the account, I would assume for the purpose of restoring the account back to normal.

Thank you PeteG for your reply.
I think I prefer to buy a new SIM card. Safer than sending a scan of my passport via email.

Can you confirm if this was a scam? As I have just had an email from this email…

The best way to find out is to get in touch. An advisor will be able to complete security with you and take a look at your account for anything suspicious.
