Hi,
My husband has a Three contract and my number was on as a sim only contract as a family and friends extra. This month i took out a new pay monthly contract with Three and want to move my number, that ive had forever without issue, over.
I have spoken to two live chat assistants and customer services and both have given advice ranging from its impossible to i need to take out a contract with another provider in order to change it over. Surely this cannot be right and i should be able to keep my number
Please help!
Thanks
N

Hi @N2010,
Sorry to hear about this. If you're already with Three then normally the existing number should be upgraded rather than taking out a new account entirely. I can understand if you wouldn't want to arrange a return at this stage, just to make another order for the upgrade though.
The solution @Geluk suggested is a workaround for this, but I'd just emphasise that if you take a SIM with a new provider, it's probably best to take out a PAYG for that temporary move, rather than having to get a credit check completed, and take out another contract with a 3rd party.
Thanks,
Jonathan

They're correct; you have to ask for a PAC for that number, temporarily open a/c with
another provider using PAC No.
Once no. transferred get new provider to provide PAC, and move it back to 3.
