5g disabled on outdoor hub (Greenpacket y5)

Anyone else noticed that the 5g connectivity on the outdoor hub will switch itself off, third time I've noticed this issue initially prompted by netflix buffering I've added screenshot to show what I see on my end a reboot of the outdoor hub usually brings it back up but surely this isn't something I should be expected to do just to keep a stable connection.

Before reboot

After reboot

I reported this through to customer service and they seemed to think it was an issue with my outdoor hub so had a replacement sent out. After swapping it actually seems to be worse l, after doing some digging and pretty much constantly checking the admin panel the hub looks to be connecting to Vodafone towers but they're all only 4g so I've essentially been switched from a 5g SA tower to a 4g tower with a much worse signal droppingmy speeds from around 600 mbps and stable to 30 mbps and choppy. I've also noticed signal strength on my phone has dropped so looks to be something has been botched in traffic routing when the merger went through.

Update: the switch to 4g has been happening pretty much every day for the past week, earlier today even after a reboot 5g would only be active for around 10 minutes before being disabled so even rebooting isn't helping anymore

Have you checked the network status page for your post code?  It could be an issue with your local mast.

There were settings on the hub that allowed you to control whether it connected to 4G or 5G but I can't find them following a recent update to the hubs software

It does say there's an issue with the mast but its said that for months so I thought the site was just broken. Also if it was because of the mast surely a reboot wouldn't fix it.

Mine did that yesterday. Possibly more than once, although I only checked the last time it failed.

The eero gateway had gone to a red light, power cycling the hub fixed it. That happened three times yesterday but I only logged on to the hub the last time and saw the 5G missing.. In the end I did a reset on the hub and it has been happy since then.
