Is there anyone with long-term experience of Three 4G home broadband?

I was about to sign up for three home broadband until I came across the Trustpilot  broadband reviews site.

It's alarming to see that just in the first 10-20 reviews alone .... the comments from most users include the words "Terrible"  "Avoid" and "Rubbish". Some of these reviews were written just a few days ago.  The overall user rating for the service is just a very sad 1.7 out of 5.  I couldn't read more than about 15 or so of those on the first page because it was too depressing. And there are 80 or more further pages!

I am concerned that, just as some of the reviewers have experienced, that I will get through the 30 day trial period satisfactorily but then find, as some have done...... that after 5 weeks or so the service goes down the toilet. And then I'm stuck with paying off a two year contract for a bad service.

I don't think that is an unreasonable concern is it?

Is there any evidence of  similarly large numbers of users who have positive rather than negative experiences?

I thank you in advance of any advice and information received.

Nick

Do not bother getting it, I've been with them for over 6 months and the service is terrible. The download speeds have dropped dramatically and its constantly disconnecting me from the internet. Im actually in the process of trying to get out of this contract.

Tried to cancel last month using online chat. As told it was being done. Today get a call demanding payment for the month as the cancel request didn't go through.

I find it quite convenient that I'm at fault and need to pay for threes mistake. Typical rip off Britain style of operation. Take Advantage of your customers.

Can you respond to any of the negative posts on here please?

Im in the middle if deciding if I should take a chance on this as im looking for something faster than my Sky connection.  Plus im annoyed with Sky constantly putting prices up every other month it seems.

I cant take a chance on something that is going to cut out constantly.

Unfortunately the reviews are true! They fobbed me off continuously for 6 months. They started with 3 lots of compensation but the problems continued. They didnt do anything until i started informing them i was recording the calls and corresponding with an ombudsman. Since then ive been told my contact has been terminated free of charge. However, with experience im expecting ill be on the phone again asking why im still being charged. But we shall see

Sadly, Hutchison telecom aka Three do nothing to relieve people of thoughts of corruption and corporate scamming. I too enjoyed about a month of good broadband on a new two year contract with Three before it all went down the toilet. I honestly didn't want to believe that after a short period they throttle their service deliberately. But now I do.

Hi Nick, well my Three broadband claims support for up to 64 devices 🙂 classic british humour I think, sadly though, nobody is laughing. My household runs 4x smartphones, 2x ipads 1x desktop pc an alexa and 2x smart tv's. And all those are rarely on at the same time. We get constant pixellation on the main tv and constant dropouts on the phones. We have the 4G system with a sim card installed. We are in Sth Yorks (Doncaster) the service is horrible. 2 year contracts are an open invite to rip the public off as they are a legal contract. It is time to put a stop to them and create some genuine competition between providers. I am sick to death of being an open all hours atm for these thieves.
