Issues with broadband. When will these be resolved?

RRayner
Fledgling

Ever since I got three broadband  (been almost a month), the service checker has said: "We're working on fixing an issue in this area at the moment. We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing". Not my actual post code but near enough: CV34 6RH

When will this be resolved? Three is our only option for internet [that or copper connection from BT] and we're constantly running into issues.

We've also had to switch to IPv4, as IPv6 [with Three anyway] was interferring with developing/testing multiplayer within Unity [another option was to switch to three.co.uk. Also seems three's network experiences packet loss where its communicating saying its finished a download but in fact gets stuck at about 90-99% [Unity hub downloads]. The workaround for that seems to be using a VPN only; it doesn't work on 3internet nor three.co.uk. We wfh as software developers in Unity, and it's a serious issue that needs to be addressed by Three and give a definite answer to what the problem is, or at least acknowledge there is in fact an issue that's being worked on- with a timeline.

Also, the ping. This is advertised as a gaming broadband when it just simply isn't good enough. On the 5g broadband i get anwhere from 30ms to 60ms, with big spikes every minute or so to 200ms which makes it unplayable. If I however hotspot from my phone I get a stable 40-50ms. So why am i paying for this 5g broadband/modem when everything just seems to run -better- from a mobile hotspot? Very frustrating. My connection also seems to be about -70, so pretty good.

Hello, Rayner.

Broadband issues can be super frustrating. It seems like you're being impacted by multiple things at the same time, which isn't ideal. You might find advise here from other users, and perhaps in other threads. We'd be unable to complete additional checks on the postcode you mentioned though, as we don't have access to the facilities the network team would use.

I'd recommend reaching out to the Home Broadband team for additional checks to be completed, and options explored.

Pete.
