I recently upgraded my handset with Three and the courier company have marked it as delivered... To a completely different town to where I live.
I instantly contacted Three and they are currently "investigating", which can apparently take up to 5 days.
My question is, if DPD/Three manage to reclaim that handset, will they then redeliver it to me? Because at that point it would have been in someone else's possession long enough for it to have been tampered with.
Also, would it have included a replacement SIM card (I'm keeping the same number)? Because if so that would mean that someone else currently has access to my SIM card and phone number, which is totally unacceptable. Problem is, I can't change my number to get around this as I've had the same number for 20 years and it's listed on all of my business literature and many online accounts.
Thanks

Hi there @messymedia,
Did you receive your device and SIM in the end? Please let me know if this has been resolved.
Thanks,
Michael

You should have got an email and SMS from DPD, with a tracking number on it. There should be a photograph of the delivery, which is usually you holding the parcel in your door way! But in your case should be the door and person DPD delivered it to!
If the package you finally receive has been opened or tampered with, you can refuse the delivery on those grounds. Double check the plastic bag is sealed correctly and take a photograph of the parcel too. DPD tend to photograph you holding it in your doorway (they used to need a signature). There should also be a cooling off period in which if your not happy with it, you can return it for a full refund. But ask Three regrading all this to confirm.
I doubt it would have included a replacement SIM, unless there was a problem with your current one?
