Our phones and tablets are sometimes the most expensive thing we own, do you protect your phone with a case and a screen protector? I have done so in the past, but stopped recently. I have found using a phone without a bulky case feels much nicer.

I currently have the Samsung S21 ultra and its the first phone I've had a case for.
It pained me to have a case in the past as I go for phones on look as well as functionality and I always felt hiding it was an abomination! But cracked screens aren't the best look either. So I bit the bullet this time and invested in the spigen tough armour case, yes it adds a few millimetres here and there whilst still looking sleek enough.
Moral of the story.. Find what you can live with or be prepared for cracked screens or insurance excess payments

I bought a new Android phone a few months ago and it came with a clear TPU case along with wired earphones and charger in the box. Best of all it also had the screen protector pre-installed on the screen. Saved me the effort of buying these separately. The price for screen protector and case is definitely worth it, as it is very much possible to accidentally drop the phone (or hit it against a hard surface) at least once during the years that the phone is used.

I love the idea of having my phone (Oneplus 8 Pro) with no case, but it is quite a slippery material, so prefer to have it in a nice sandstone slim case for grip. I used to use a screen protector, but with modern day phones having much better screen glass I tend not to bother now. I do however like the idea of getting the matte style screen protector with the iPad as apparently this works really well with the Apple Pencil, which I use daily for my work notes.

I do but then I am a bit of a nightmare with phones - I threw my phone once aiming for it to land on the armchair, it landed on the wood floor and as it flew through the air, the case had opened and so smashed face down on the front of the phone and cracked it all 🙂 They gave me a special protective screen thing when I got my phone and I have dropped it so many times (even using a case) that it is pretty much holding the screen together ................

Exactly what I do. I break SO many phones with my clumsiness I have to do something to protect them! 🙂

I'll be honest. I buy a rugged case and a supply of tempered glass screens for both the face and camera BEFORE i buy the phone! I've been bitten by my clumsiness far too many times to count!

I always use a case for my iPhone as I worry if I’d top it and smash the screen then I’ll face a big bill to replace the screen etc.

I use both case and screen protector as an unmarked and damage free phone is worth more money on eBay. I only take the case off if I am wearing a formal jacket and do not want an unsightly bulge.
