Indoor phone signal

When I call a telephone number indoors my iPhone takes ages to connect outdoors it connects straight away

Great advice given by @Cynicismunitef and I would agree the infrastructure can play a part.

Sometimes indoor coverage can be patchy despite it being ok outdoors as the mobile signal can’t always penetrate walls so well, If you have broadband then my suggestion would be to turn on WiFi calling on your phone. It will then solve all your problems.
