I am signed up to a 24 months plan which expires soon. Do I need to buy another plan or just need to upgrade?

My 2yr contract finished last month, I wanted a new phone anyway, so had a look at what 3 had in the sales pages.
I fancy'd the Honor 6 but the unlimited data plan that I was on made the phone an expensive option.
I contacted sales on the phone help line and managed the upgrade, new phone the lot for the same price as my last contract.
It's worth it to talk to a person than just take what they advertise using an AI bit of software telling you what the most expensive purchase is, rather than the cheapest option, the sales team will knock off quite a bit to keep you on a contract.

I had the same question. My SIM only contract expires next month. If I sign up for a new one now does it start staright away or when the exisiting one expires?

If you upgrade your existing contract then that will automatically cancel and supersede your existing one. If you start a fresh but separate contract then youโll have two running alongside each other. If you do the latter it will start straight away.

Probably best but you could speak to customer service just in case you can upgrade on similar terms but otherwise good luck with the new contract.

If youโre happy with your current plan then you need do nothing at all and it will continue as now on a month by month basis. But if you want to upgrade then you can do so. Entirely up to you!

Your plan will just carry on but you will not be tied into a minimum term anymore. Your choice if you want to upgrade or not.
