Bring my number to three. Format of number?

Good evening. I am in the UK and am trying to bring my number to three. I have a new three SIM (complete with number) and I have a PAC code from my old provider. I have activated the new three sim.

BUT when I try to fill in the three online form it wants my new three number to be entered in the format beginning with 44 ????

My new three SIM has a number beginning with 0737....

What should I enter on the form?

Suggestion. I would find it useful if three included on the webpage a sample completed form to show how the details should look once entered?

Thanks for any help

Thanks for replying JonathanB

In the end I went into a three shop and they did it for me.

However, I was on chat for quite some time this morning and didn't get an answer to the format. It would save three a lot of money in staff time if this was made clear on the webpage and as I said if you include a worked example for customers to follow.

It's quite a stressful process as in my case I have had the number I am porting to three for a long time and don't want to lose it - especially at the moment as my partner is very ill and family need to contact me on the correct number.

An additional point is that it isn't trivial to find the webpage to bring your number to three - or at least I didn't find it trivial. I wonder if you could also consider attaching more key words to the webpage for moving a number to three so that it is easier to find. Or even an easy link in a more prominent position.

Thanks again and best wishes

Thanks. It would be a good idea for three to have a sample completed form next to the actual forma so customers can see what to do.

IS this the correct webpage to bring a number to an existing three account from another carrier:

https://www.three.co.uk/support/switching/forms/pac-request-form

Anyone know if that is the correct page?? Thanks again

Hi @b3,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you've been having arranging your port. Yes if you are porting to a personal PAYG or Pay Monthly account with Three then that's the correct form.

@Paddiewack had this just about right, but you only need a "+" if calling from somewhere abroad so that part doesn't need to go in the porting form.

Did you try dropping the 0 and replacing this with 44 i.e 0782333333 becomes 447782333333

Let me know if that format works for you now? And in terms of the feedback, thanks so much for this, I can see how this would be confusing. I'll pass this on to our Online teams.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Thanks again @b3, and glad to hear that the immediate situation of arranging the port in could be solved by our staff in store. I've highlighted this topic internally, so hopefully this helps other customers in future.

Many thanks PAddiewack, but it doesn't accept that format. I guessed, wrongly, that was the format (+44 7....)

Anyone from three know what the format should be? And maybe it would be a good idea to show a worked example on the webpage for moving a number to three so that customers know how to complete the form.

Thanks again

Start the number with a + symbol and omit the first 0 so for example if your number was 07123456789 you would enter it as +447123456789.
Hope this helps you out.

Sorry I replied in the wrong place. But the format you mention doesn't work.

Does anyone from three know the correct format? Thanks

That’s the international format and if it doesn’t work I’m sorry I can’t help you. As a suggestion you could email Three customer service for guidance. Other that that good luck.
