My mobile data is working when it comes to surfing the web but not when I try play mobile games. Everything works fine on Wi-Fi.
spoke to 2 different customer support staff which was no help, they changed some things on there end and said It should be working. After I explained that it isn’t they tried palming it off and said it was the apps fault..
Iv tried all the basic stuff and some stuff support has said to do such as change the APN field, reset cache, reset network settings, deleted and reinstalled apps.
It’s been months now and still haven’t found anyone that could help.
I’m just counting down the days until I can cancel my contract.

Well first of all I’m not the one who suffers this!! I’ve been suffering this for about 5/6 years. Use android and apple both are the same. I reckon it’s more like a pvp games are not connected. I play the game called wild rift I can start the game but when loading it won’t start unless i switch to use wifi then the game will load. Even tried close the game and reboot the game no use.
I hope someone can help here as I’m tight to play the game only on wifi I got the iPhone 15pm can’t even use my data to play a game 🤦🏻♂️😂

Hello.
Oh, that's not so good. Is the issue always there, or is ok sometimes?
What about other apps and services, do those connect OK?

Hello, Seany.
That sounds frustrating. I haven't come across an issue that affects just games before.
Hopefully some one here will have some insights or ideas. To give a better picture of what's going on, could you confirm the make and model of phone you're using, as well as the software version you are on? It might also help if you could confirm which games you've tried, and what happens on those games when you're trying to connect.
Feel free to attach screenshots as well, making sure to hide any personal information within the images.
Pete.

Iv seen a few comments in different posts with people having the same issue.
make and model is an iPhone 12 and iOS version 17.6.1
The games are all online games but the ones Iv tried playing the most is brawl stars and zombie.io. It connects to the game Home Screen but when you try to connect to play online it just stays on the loading screen.
1st pic is how it loads and the 2nd pic is what it freezes on.

Yoooo I found the fix see in the apn field for the data? If is three.co.uk change that to 3internet and my games works 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Hi @Seany01,
It looks like an iPhone 12 should be eligible for a software upgrade to iOS 18. Can you try updating to the latest iOS available, and check that you've got the latest update on any affected apps, then let us know if the issues are persisting?
Thanks,
Jonathan

I have updated the iPhone to the latest update and all games are also up to date and problem still persists 😔

Thanks for confirming this @Seany01,
That's disappointing that it isn't as simple as an OS update, but I'm sure there's some more troubleshooting possible.
Just to check, does the game always fail to load, or is it random/intermittent failures?
I know you've mentioned that general browsing is fine, but is there any sign of connection or speed issues with any other apps (for example can you stream a video or music from the same location)? Are you typically seeing 3, 4, or 5G signal when this issue happens?
When you mentioned APN in your original post, have you tested using both three.co.uk and 3internet as your phone's APN?
Thanks,
Jonathan
