Failed credit check

I am fuming!! 
I have attempted to upgrade my phone today and paid off what was remaining on my device plan. I spent an hour on live chat speaking to someone at 3, chose my phone, airtime plan, colours etc to then be told I have failed the credit check. I have never failed a check and have always paid all payments on time. I have also been a loyal 3 customer for the best part of at least 12 years. 
I have emailed to appeal this because I am so frustrated. I believe I have no reason to fail this. I find it very interesting that there are so many more people writing on here about the exact same thing, thereโ€™s something going on here, I do not believe this is to do with credit checks. 
If this appeal doesnโ€™t sort the issue, then 3 will be losing another loyal customer.

Just spent the evening researching and selecting my upgrade to get the same rebuff when I eventually hit check out sometime later. Very annoying!  Another long term loyal customer here about to take a hike to a competitor ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜

Your conspiratorial theories also fail. Itโ€™s an automated system and in business loyalty counts for nothing. You paid your money which gives you access to the network and thatโ€™s about it. However I absolutely get your frustration and disappointment and as youโ€™ve appealed it will be looked at again by a human and Iโ€™ll keep my fingers crossed for you.
