Go roam not working

Hi there, before going to Poland I contacted support and asked to rise my spending cap and was promised that my data roaming will work.

Instead, I got stuck in the middle of nowhere at -7 in the midnight unable to find my Airbnb address. Nice Polish people helped me to connect.

What is going on? Why is it not working?

When I turn on data, I get weird notification with 4-bar kinda 4g symbol with a question mark, and when I press on it - it leads to "unable to connect to server"  and something about a technical support, but nothing works. I don't know how I will do things I planned tomorrow.

To be honest it's so unreliable and stressful, I really loved Three but I can't handle it anymore.

Hello. 

It's disappointing to hear you're having issues getting connected. 

It's hard to know for sure, but it sounds like the icon you're referring to is the icon that comes up when network is detected, but the phone can't speak to the services it normally would speak to. You'll sometimes see a similar icon when connected to public WiFi that requires a log in before it will work.

If you're still having the issue, could you try loading the three.co.uk home page to see if that loads up for you?
Could you also check to make sure Data Roaming is enabled on the phone?

I am getting tired of reading all these posts but roaming not working and yet no concrete solution from Three. I experienced the same issue and so have countless of others and the solution you keep giving and question are just beyond a joke. If you are a traveller of course you know to make sure the data roaming is on like that is so basic a child knows that reseting mobile date, restarting the phone, reinseeting the sim yes yes yes 

The issue after my own research is to do with the APN settings which are locked or disable on most phone. If I know that is the issue Three so called support team should know that!! 

So please can Three please give us the customer a concrete solution or fix the issue please. I spent 6 days in Italy that were ruined by the fact I could not use my phone. I could not use maps, I could not gwt in touch with friends or family and I had to constantly ask for WiFi because that was my only solution.

Three fix this issue or give a concrete solution and no please no more private messaging to individuals. Just put out a response and solution that will help everyone.

 

I am also curious to know if the issue was solved in this particular incident @Veronika88 @PeteG  @PeteG please kindly respond.

Go to settings and try to manually select a network and try them all. The auto function does not always select 3's local partner.
