Go roam

Hi. A little moan, sorry peeps. I live on the coast and whenever I go to the beach , 3 thinks I'm in france and charges me for go roam . You'd think the 26 miles of English channel would count for something lol . Any one had this or am I the only lucky one 😂😂.

Sorry to hear that you've inadvertently picked up Roaming signal from France. It's not an exceptionally common issue, but it's possible to pick up French signal on parts of our coastline. Uninterrupted water actually carries the signal far further than over land. I've also seen this happen with signal between Greece and Turkey, as well as Moroccan signal being picked up in Spain!

@Anonymous has given great suggestions here, one other thing you can do is check in your phone settings for network selection or carrier selection, switch this to manual, and choose Three UK when the networks in range load up. This should keep you locked on to our signal.

If you choose this method, just remember to pop this back to automatic if you do go travelling abroad later.

Switch data roaming off in the settings on your handset, and set your spend cap to zero.
