No functional Internet but full signal (Waterloo bridge in Central London)

No Internet really in Central London this evening. I just switched to Three yesterday and Internet was fine this morning in Wellingborough. Got to London and there is basically none. I was in the Southbank centre, signal was poor, so I thought well OK, I will go outside.next I am standing on Waterloo Bridge, large open space, FULL BARS 4G on the phone, and can't load neither email nor bank app. Is this the usual? Disgusting.

Yes, central london when it is busy (most of the time) is a dead loss for Three users. The only solution is find somewhere near with wifi. This has been the case for years. Outside central london it is usually fine. But clearly they do not have the capacity in town. Try booking a Uber at a busy time and you will be greeted with a message saying you are not connected. Three always deny it, but uses know how poor it is. If you are out with friends on other networks they will have no trouble connecting, just you. When you get home your phone works fine, ie outside the central zone, so it is not a problem with the phone. This is consistent and proven over a long time. They never get any better.

Yep, unfortunately this is the case for much of central London. Bars and 4G but no internet. I am moving provider next month and cannot wait. Three will just constantly tell you to use the network checker and not admit that its service is just absolutely shocking.

Hey @ovcovc,

Sorry to hear you've had some data issues.

Were you in this area temporarily, or do you stay/frequently visit?

If so, please enter your postcode into our Network Status and Coverage Checker to see if any known issues or planned work is taking place. There may also be congestion if the area is particularly busy.

Thanks,
Michael

Ive been with Three for years and have never had any signal whatsoever in London. It was annoying but now I work there it makes the situation impossible. It’s a really poor network and they have no answers. To not provide signal in central London is shocking, every other provider does. Just winding down the months to the end of my contract…
