Phone not ringing when someone calls

Lee252
Fledgling

This is happening to my wife as well, the Phone is not ringing or showing a incoming call when someone calls, also when dialling out it appears that my phone is not connecting, however it connects to the other caller, but I can’t hear or talk to them

This is happening to me too and it's driving me mad. I discovered if I turn off wi-fi, it resolves the problem (although I'm not sure it will resolve it permanently) BUT i rely on wi-fi calling when I'm in certain places so I don't want to turn off wi-fi calling permanently. Is this a Three issue or an iPhone issue?

Hi @greedyfly,

Just to clarify so if Wi-Fi is on you still have the same issue when out and about (and not connected to a Wi-Fi network at the time)?

Check your phone software and carrier settings are up to date, and I'd also suggest to reset your network settings too. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will clear all saved Wi-Fi networks and bluetooth pairings, but should resolve any issues caused by invalid Wi-Fi settings that might be saved in the background.

Thanks,
Jonathan

Thanks @JonathanB. I don't know for sure if the problem persists when I'm not connected to a wi-fi network. I'll experiment.

Resetting network settings is a real inconvenience as you lose all the stored passwords and saved wifi networks. I have dozens saved..

Hi @greedyfly,

I know where you're coming from there in terms of forgetting saved Wi-Fi networks I'm not sure if there's any other potential solutions though.

My initial reading of your post was that the issue is happening across multiple different Wi-Fi networks, is that right?

Thanks,
Jonathan

@JonathanBI'm not sure! I will experiment in various places to try understand. All I know for sure is it happens most of the time on my home wi-fi (although it doesn't seem to happen to my wife, who has a similar iPhone)

Hey there, Lee.

That's not so great. Can you confirm what phones you are both using? How long have you been having the issue?

Pete.

Hi @Lee252,

Sorry to hear this. Are there any issues showing in your area on our Network Status Checker?

Have you checked to make sure that your software is fully up to date on both phones?

Thanks,
Jonathan
