Hi All,
I recently joined Three from Sky mobile and every day at 11:23 and 23:23 high levels of data are being used. Each time I'm connected to Wi-Fi so I'm not sure what's going on. I've had an argument with Three and they say it's nothing wrong at their end. I used to use between 3-5GB a month with Sky (10GB a month contract). I purchased a 12GB a month contract with Three, thinking it would be more than enough, but I'm getting through 20GB a month now with the same phone, no new apps etc. I've kept an eye on the mobile data to see which apps are using the most data but there's nothing out of the ordinary and it doesn't seem to tie up with my usage on the Three app. Just wondered if anyone else has had similar or could shed any light. Many thanks.

Hi there,
yes! My find both have three sim only contracts and both are using lots of data when on WiFi - not sure why either!
I am going to suggest when they are in the house they turn off their cellular data to see if this makes a difference.
hope you get some answers x

Hello, Jambon.
That's really strange, and something I'm not too sure about. I'd normally say that changes like that are normally related to the new device, but since you didn't change device, and haven't changed anything else, I'm at a loss.
Most devices allow you to track your data usage. It's not a network based tracker, so the data doesn't always line up 100%, but it's often pretty close. If you use that to track how much data has been used by applications each day, you should be able to compare it with the usage on your My3, or at the end of the current bill cycle, and it might give you an idea of what it is that's using more data than usual, if anything.
Pete.
