VPN woes on Cisco hardware

Streisand
Fledgling

@JonathanB I wonder if you can help

My company has recently started using a new VPN, and I cannot connect to it for more than a couple of minutes using my Three data sim.

It's a Cisco Anyconnect endpoint agent, presumably with a Cisco ASA in the background, though I'm not clear on this.

There are no issues with the Checkpoint VPN used previously, just this one.

APN is already set to three.co.uk and IPv6 has always been disabled on my router.

Any ideas?

Hi @Streisand,

I'm not aware of any issues with Cisco VPNs specifically, I'm sure we've had community members confirm they use that service in the past. If you're connecting from a Home Broadband or data only SIM, you should test 3internet as your APN as this is the preferred one for Broadband purposes.

It sounds like you've probably already seen this thread FYI : IPv6 Prevented VPN Connection but generally the best results have been achieved with a manual APN profile using APN: 3internet and PDP type IPv4 only,

Please let me know if the same issues persist with that configuration.

Thanks,
Jonathan
