It sounds like there could be a problem going on in the area.
There is a Network Status page that allows you to see what's going on locally. If you put your details in there, it might give an idea as to what's happening. If you need additional checks to be done as well, you can reach out to the Support Team where diagnostic checks can be ran on the network and account.
