Took a 3 SIM only contract out on the basis that I could upgrade to a phone contract after 90 days.
Now I am told it's a year
Anyone able to clarify this please

I’m livid , I was unemployed and could have got the deal on the sim much cheaper but told if you take it on it will be worth it, this is %100 taking advantage of people that don’t have good credit, I wish that someone would tell the public, it’s disgraceful but I’ve tried

I’ve had the exact same thing, I put an order in for a iPhone, got turned down, was contacted the day after and offered a sim only on the promise I could choose any phone after 3 months, I confirmed on the phone twice that my credit would not be a problem after the 90 days and was assured it was not. I have now placed a complaint, I’m gathering info on others this has happened to and will be taking it to the ombudsman as it is a breach of consumer rights. They are completely exploiting people with bad credit.

Same thing I asked and I got two contract sims on the basis that after three months I was able to get the phone on an upgrade no matter what my credit was as long as i paid bill im 2 pound in credit for over paying and refused

Cancel and go with someone else, threes a joke totally mis sold! Post negative reviews everywhere so nobody else gets mis sold

They have lied to me as well was trick by one of they agents to purchase a sim and after 90 days I could upgrade to any handset with no credit check, this was not the case

Did the same too me they use to do this after 3 paid bills now they have merged with rubbish VODAFONE this service is no longer as VODAFONE credit check you.i had used it previously numerous times .Looks like three is going to lose a lot of customers because of this

I've just had the exact same issue I was told a device after 90 days with no credit check as I will have a payment history with three! I'm fighting to get it cancelled with no termination fee, why should I pay to terminate a contract I was mis sold ? 🤔

Don't know what going on with three, I was told after 90 days I could upgrade for a hand set, today is 90 days, I try to upgrade but had to do a credit check which it declined, 3 months ago I applied for a contract phone with three unfortunately it declined, I had a call the next day from three telling me about they sim for 90 days as I fail for a handset, I made sure to ask if I would have to do a credit check after the 90 days, I was told no as pass for the sim after 90 I can pick any phone of choice again with no credit check it would just an upgrade for the handset, I even call last week to make of this, now it's a different story and can't receive the handset because of credit check which should not be, all of they calls are recorded and now have to wait 5 days for them to get back to me, at this point I seem to be trick into getting this sim,my son is with o2 and did the same exact thing and have received his handset with no credit check, now I go on the app it's telling me today I can't upgrade
