I have been trying to change the account ownership for over a year and every time am getting told on live chat that this is impossible and the minute and to try again in a few weeks. Been told this multiple times over the last year! Then when I ring there is no option for me to do it on the phone. The account holder is in my mams name as she got me the sim as a gift years ago but needs to be in mine. I’ve managed to change the direct debit to my bank but can’t change the address to mine as it needs to be where the account holder lives! Any advice would be great, my contract has now ran out and they won’t let me upgrade without doing a credit check on my mam even though it’s me paying…

Hello, Bethany.
Welcome to the Three Community.
A change of ownership on an account isn't something Three are able to do currently. The account would need to remain in the original account holders name. If you'd prefer to have a contract of your own, you'd need to take out a brand new one on your own.
To transfer your number from the old contract, you'd need to get a PAC to move the number out to the another network on PAYG, then get another PAC to move the number back in to your newer account. This would terminate the old account, and the number would then belong to you.
Pete.
