Cancelled contract

I have cancelled my contract as i did not receive the phone and sim. I contacted three after that and they assured me that i get my refund for the contract which i then received. They then told me my contract has fully been cancelled and everything should be fine. I am still receiving emails from three device plan saying i have arrears and i need to pay for the contract. This must be a joke! How is it three tells me everything is sorted but then they tell me you need to pay.
