My account was opened many years ago for my son to have a mobile phone.
as he is now in his 20’s we would like to have the account in his name as he is unable to make changes or get a new contract now this current one is out of contract.
he already pays the bill from his account and is a named user in the account but he cannot order a new phone or discuss a contract in store as the account is in my name.
how can we change this so it’s fully his account and he can also keep the number?

You need to contact customer service here and ask if they can do a change of ownership. He will probably have to pass a credit check in order for the contract to be transferred.

Nope can’t be done, computer says no. Spoke on live chat and went in shop and it’s not possible. Only option is get a payg sim, transfer the number, open a new Three account in sons name, transfer number from payg sim.
what a faff!

Apparently it’s down to the new billing platform they use. Used to be able to do it on the old system.
