Data Roaming Charges Applied When Data Roaming Disabled

I have a longstanding phone contract with 3 which includes free Data Roaming in Go Roam countries. Up until now I have been billed fairly for any use outwith my contract. However on a recent trip to Morocco, not a Go Roam country I disabled Data Roaming on my iPhone before leaving the UK. But 3 have decided to charge me £12.50 for Out of Allowance Data Charges! I wasted half an hour on Chat trying to get an answer and requested details of the Data Charges I have been billed for including dates etc. All they did was send me a copy of my bill, which I had already checked and surprise, surprise no details of the data charges, only the £12.50 combined total which is incredible given I had Data Roaming disabled.

Anyone else been cheated like this?

Thank you for replying I have now had the charges refunded since nobody was able to detail what the individual data usages were!  And considering Data Roaming was switched off on my iPhone, it’s hardly surprising!
