I’ve been trying to get an early upgrade for a few days now. Everything has gone fine until it comes to having to make a payment of £4.99 to get my new phone delivered. Every time I try to make the payment, it’s declined due to fraud protocol or something, what is going on and why is there no way around this?

That sounds really frustrating and I'm not too sure on why it would be happening, if all is in working order with your bank.
I appreciate it's far from ideal, but have you considered or tried doing it in a Three store instead? I'm wondering if they would have success with taking the payment directly.
