Inactivity for 180 days on PAYG account - is it going to be deactivated or can I just use it again?

Accidentally went through 180 days of inactivity on my PAYG account.

Received a text saying 'your contract ends on 11/02/26' - bit confused as I don't have a contract, just PAYG.

I've recently used my account again and topped up.

Is my account still going to be deactivated or does usage again mean it won't be disconnected.

No! As long as you make a chargeable event (call/text) etc once every 180 days and certainly before the date you mention you’ll be fine. And no you don’t have a contract I suspect it’s just poorly written.

Thanks for your reply!

I topped up yesterday, but i'm worried that since I had let it go way past 180 days without activity prior to that, that they will cancel it cos of this 180 day rule (from the text I received). Surely they won't go ahead with any cancelling now that I've reused the account since and also topped up my account? Any thoughts would help, cheers

Relax and stop worrying. You’d only have a problem if you went beyond the date mentioned to you in the text. If you want more reassurance then start a live chat with customer service.
