I ported my number out of Three today as got a better deal elsewhere, was wondering does the entire account get closed, so what I am trying to get at is will I be able to use the email address on another account in the future.
I ask this as I cannot use that email on a pay as you go account, had to create another email, but if I chose to return in a few months will my email address allow me to be used on a new account or is Three’s system incapable of doing this.
Guess I can ask for all my data to be removed which hopefully should allow me to use that email in the future, but was wondering if this was the only way.

At the moment you will need to contact customer services to reregister on the app and maybe for a new contract. However, not even 3 can say what their, or Vodafone's, system will be if you decide to return.
