I have an old plan which Three is not offering anymore on new plans - it gives me a 12gb allowance in go roam destinations as part of my monthly plan. They obviously don't like it because they don't offer it any more (and they're always trying to offer me a new plan). Anyway, I recently spent a couple of weeks in Australia and Singapore. Because I knew my data usage would go well over 12 gb, I purchased a total of 8 data passports in that time. The data I used outside the data passports was well below 12 gb. But Three tried to charge me a total of £5.17 for usage on random dates when the the data passports were not active, even though the total usage of all the dates when I didn't have a data passport was way below 12 gb. I had a very inconclusive live chat with a guy who just kept on telling me that these charges were for days when I didn't have a data passport, which was only partially true because there were no charges on other days when I had no data passport, and anyway my total usage for all the days when I didn't have a data passport was way below 12Gb. Finally he acknowledged that Three had made an "error" and deducted the charges. It's only £5.17 and not going to break the bank, but why is three allowed to get away with this? If 50,000 people are overcharged the same amount, it's £250,000.
